The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) working with KUCCPS have released the 2018 cutoff points for students joining university to pursue degree courses in both public and private universities. The cutoff points will be for the students who did their KCSE in 2017.

The official 2018 cutoff points is a C+ of 46 and above points.  Any student who attained a C+ of 46 and above will be placed by KUCCPS under government sponsorship to pursue a degree programme of their choice that they meet the requirements of the university they wish to join.

Student who will be placed by KUCCPS to join private university will still enjoy government sponsorship initially known as JAB. This means that if you are placed at Strathmore university to do a course of your choice, the government will pay part of your fee as they do to government universities like University of Nairobi.
