Goal Keeper youth action is a 12 months program meant to support young people in generating and using data from their communities to improve accountability in local initiatives of development related to poverty, hunger, health and well-being, education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation. The program will bring together all successful applicants in Arusha, Tanzania.
The initiatives should relate to:
Data sourcing and accountability-these are initiatives that gather views and experiences of communities related to a specific development issue the initiative is working on.
Data translation and story-telling-these are initiatives that translate existing development data into stories that showcase progress and encourage leaders of different sectors to act.
Having the following qualities will buy you a ticket to qualify for application:
- Social activists
Applicants should be 18 to 35 years of age.
Applicants should be affiliated to; Action for Sustainable Development, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Goalkeepers community, CIVICUS, George W.Bush Institute, Obama Foundation or Restless Development. If not affiliated to any, one can sign to be CIVICUS member using this link.
Willing to apply for this golden opportunity? You should meet the following criteria:
- Interested applicant should be working in the respective community to enhance local development.
- Applicant should be able to dedicate a lot of time to Accelerator related activities from January to December 2019.
- Applicant should be able to share expertise and knowledge with other participants.
- Applicant should be passionate about solving local development issues.
Successful applicants will receive funding of up to 30,000 United States Dollars.
