Soft drinks or fizzy drinks are the major consumed refreshments in the world after water.  In the whole world, humongous gallons of soft drinks are taken ever year per person.

After great meals, thirst calls for an accompaniment, after job frustrations the whole day; one will also opt for a cold soft drink  like coca cola in a restaurant. These drinks have a lot of sugary calories which have negative effects at a later stage.

Here are six reasons as to why we need to reduce the amount of carbonated soft drinks that we gasp into our alimentary canal:

Liver Damage

A study that was carried out in 2009 found that sugary drinks could cause fatty liver illnesses. Taking of two cans of fizzy drinks per day consecutively for several weeks could cause liver damage in the long run.

High Risk of Cancer

These soft drinks are casinogenic. Research has it that drinking a bottle of the drinks increases chances of a man getting prostate cancer by 40 percent. The intake of one and a half a can per day is believed to increase the chances of a woman contracting breast cancer by 40 percent. Avoid taking excess of these drinks.

They Can Cause Premature Birth in Women

Fizzy drinks were proven to cause premature births during a study that was conducted in Denmark on 50,300 women.  In this case, the women were taken and given fizzy flavored drinks. The women who drank these drinks were found with highest likelihoods of miscarriages.

They Can Cause Diabetes

Studies that were conducted in the early 90’s showed that sugar flavored drinks are prone to cause sugar imbalance in the blood. They cause type 2 diabetes.

This is also another instant effect of fizzy drinks. A study was carried on teenagers and it was  clear that the teenagers who had just drunk two cans of fizzy drinks were violent and aggressive, they even reached to an extend of carrying weapons as compared to teenagers who had taken the drinks a day earlier.
